Biblio (Part I)
If you don’t read these books before you die then you will go to hell….honest, it’s in the Bible.
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – Read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer before this as it is the predecessor. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is mostly about childhood innocence, mischief, and imagination, while all of this is in Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, there are also the underlying issues of freedom and racism.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – This book is set in a mental institution where the patients are scared and passive until a man named McMurphy is admitted. This whole book is great from cover to cover. If you read one book on this list, this must be it. If you don’t read one book on this list then you are an asshole.
On the Road – The narrator’s back and forth travels across America in the late 40′s while following a mad man, Dean (Neal Cassady), whom he idolized. The plot itself is not at all as much important as the way that Jack Kerouac makes his strange observations flow together seamlessly.
This concludes part one, someday soon there will be a part two.
I like your blog a lot. Will read all. Keep up to briliant posting on it. Gracias
